Apple unveils the iPhone’s new CarPlay app during the WWDC event in 2022. Developers announced the “fueling and driving tasks apps” feature in this app. iPhone owners would be able to use this app by installing the iOS 16 update. 

According to “The Verge”, this app will allow users to find gas stations near their locations. Besides, you can also pay at the pump using your car’s infotainment screen. However, this feature is only available in the latest iPhones. If you use iPhone 5 or 6s, CarPlay can’t be used. 

But, how does the CarPlay app work? Developers at the gas companies have to enable the iPhone’s CarPlay feature. The customers also need to make an account for the gas chain. Add a payment method in this app and pay the petrol bill from the driver’s seat.

This is not the first time an iPhone user can activate the pump from their seat. Exxon teamed up with Ford to design the Speedpass+ app to pay for gas. According to reports, the company will use built-in moisture sensors to detect water. These sensors will activate the Wet mode and help the users to type in rain.

Moreover, this new software could change the on-screen button’s size. It will place them further from each other in the display to reduce the chances of accidental touch in rain. Earlier iOS versions offered only one lock screen notification layout. In other words, there were no options regarding the layout of the lock screen notifications. But, Apple will soon add some new options through iOS 16.

Many iPhone users might want these sections to be harder to access. If you wish for the same, you simply need to wait for iOS 16. You can protect hidden and deleted photos with face or touch ID in the soon-to-arrive new system version. 

Automatic Security Updates

Besides, Apple also plans to introduce automatic security updates on iOS 16. So, you need no longer manually install security updates in the next system version.

Since Apple has not announced this feature at WWDC, it is unclear how it would work. But, it would probably work the same way as automatic system updates. Regardless, you would surely find this a great addition to your iPhone. 

Enhanced iMessage Experience

iMessage is going to offer the user new accessibility on iOS 16. It would include the option to edit or cancel a sent message. And, that should be very useful if you have texted the wrong person or have made some typing mistakes.

Do you want to view a message that you have deleted? Then, you can do that on iOS 16 within 30 days of deleting the message.

Not only that, but the iMessage would also feature a new section called Unread Messages. So, you can separate the messages you have read from the unread ones. This makes your iPhone messages section look more organised.

You can sort them by artists, title, album, and even by their release dates. Moreover, you can select an artist as a favourite to receive notifications about their latest release.
